What we look at before fitment
A canopy or storage system is a permanent load carried high and behind the rear axle, so suitability, weight and access are worked out before the product is chosen.
Permanent versus removable
How often the canopy comes off changes the mounting method, sealing and the electrical connections we specify.
Constant rear load
Canopy, drawers, fridge, water and batteries are a constant rear load. We record the finished weight so suspension can be matched to it.
Access and layout
Drawer heights, slides, shelving and fridge access are planned around how you actually pack, not around a catalogue picture.
Electrical integration
Interior lighting, fridge sockets, Anderson plugs and charging are run into the canopy as part of the install where a 12V system is fitted.
Sealing and dust
Dust sealing, drainage and cable entries are checked, because a canopy that leaks dust ruins everything stored in it.

FAQs
Will a canopy make the vehicle sag?
A canopy plus drawers, fridge and water is a significant constant rear load and often does. That load is exactly what the suspension brief needs so springs and damping can be matched.
Can I keep the factory bin?
In many cases yes. Whether the canopy mounts on the factory bin or a replacement tray depends on the vehicle and how you want to use it.
Can drawers be built around a fridge?
Yes. Fridge position, slide and access height are planned with the drawer layout so the fridge opens fully with the tailgate down.
Is 12V wiring included?
Canopy lighting and power are quoted with the canopy where a battery system is fitted or planned, so the wiring is done once and done properly.
How long does a canopy and storage fitment take?
Workshop time depends on the vehicle, the exact products and whether supporting parts are required. We confirm the booking length in writing with the quote before the vehicle comes in.
